Application
The area required for an expertly designed infiltration system using swales or gravel trenches is rather extensive. A good many of such systems fail because of inadequately large drain fields. The SIROBLOC-RW infiltration system is based on so-called infiltration blocks, which provide considerable storage capacity even in case of a minimum of available surface area. Bigger infiltration units can be easily achieved by simply joining several blocks or by several layers.
The dimensioning of an infiltration system is dependent on:
- Soil conditions kf-Wert < 1 x 10-6 m/s
- Catchment area Ared. m²
- Heavy precipitation series in accordance with KOSTRA Rain Atlas
- Region/site
- the SIROBLOC system as cost-efficient standard solution
In combination with the filter or overflow chambers SIROBAU S 400, a suitable infiltration system for all requirements can be assembled according to the modular principle. An extensive range of accessories of the individual infiltration components completes the SIROBLOC system. The dimensioning of an infiltration system is determined in accordance with the DWA-A 138 worksheet.
